Dr. Kumar has his PhD from Banaras Hindu University, India, and postdoctoral studies from School of Pharmacy, Texas Tech University, Amarillo, United States. He is former Associate Professor of Pharmacology at Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, an institute of National Importance. He is currently working as a researcher at National Center for Natural Products Research (NCNPR), School of Pharmacy, University of Mississippi, Oxford, MS, United States of America.

He has published more than 150 papers in national and international journals and has been serving as an editorial board member of many scientific journals. He has mentored several Ph.D. and M.Pharm students. He is recipient of many national and international awards. He is a consultant to some pharmaceutical companies and research institutes. He has visited eleven countries for his professional projects.

His students are highly placed in various national and international organizations. He is an accomplished and deadline-conscious researcher, writer, editor and project manager with a track record of excellence. Being a Green Card holder, he is authorized to work in the United States for any employer without needing any visa sponsorship. The prospect of working in the field of medical writing is exciting and very much appealing to Dr. Kumar.
